Selene / Documentation
A practical guide to inviting Selene, configuring your server, and giving your community a polished set of music, collection, economy, leveling, and utility features.
01 / Start here
Selene is designed to be useful within a few minutes. Invite the bot, confirm its permissions, open the dashboard, then try one of the commands below.
Add Selene with the Invite button above. Discord will ask you to choose a server where you have permission to manage apps.
Open the Dashboard, choose your server, and set the prefix, channels, welcome behavior, embeds, and feature preferences.
Run /help in Discord. Use its category menu to discover the commands available to your server.
02 / Server setup
Most server configuration lives in the Dashboard. Changes are saved per server, so each community can have its own tone and workflow.
Server settingsChoose a command prefix, default music source, volume, and level-up channel.
Welcome & boostSet a welcome channel, message, embed, and optional boost announcement.
Custom embedsBuild reusable embeds, preview them, and send them to a selected channel.
PlaylistConnect the public playlist experience and manage your server's listening identity.
Tip: Start with one dedicated welcome channel and one level-up channel. It keeps the rest of your server quieter while members learn the bot.
03 / Core commands
Use /help for the live command menu. Command visibility can differ by server configuration, permissions, feature rollout, and service availability.
/helpOpen the interactive command guide.
/aboutSee what Selene does and check basic bot information.
/pingCheck Discord, database, and music service latency.
/profileView your Selene World profile and progression.
/balanceCheck your Selene Coins balance.
/rankView your server level and XP progress.
/shopBrowse available cosmetics and rewards.
/settingsReview or update supported server preferences.
04 / Music and playlists
Selene's music layer supports queue-focused playback, shared playlists, listening history, and a dashboard playlist experience. Music availability depends on the currently enabled service configuration.
Current service note: If music is unavailable, Selene will tell you directly in the command response. Your playlists and saved configuration remain separate from live playback availability.
05 / Dashboard guide
The Dashboard is the owner workspace for server-level configuration. Sign in with Discord, select a server you manage, and use the navigation to move between focused settings.
06 / Permissions
Selene works best with the minimum permissions needed for the features you actually enable. Review the role position and channel overrides after inviting the bot.
Security habit: Never paste your Discord token, Password, or Email into a command, embed, or support message.
07 / FAQ
Discord command lists can take time to refresh. Check the bot is still in the server, restart Discord, and use /help to confirm the feature is available.
Welcome messages can be configured in the Dashboard. Check the selected channel, bot permissions, and whether the feature is enabled.
Yes. Create or select an embed in Custom embeds, choose the target channel, preview it, and send it. Selene checks the channel permissions before posting.
Use the Owner Support link from the private setup DM or visit the official Selene community. Include the command, server, approximate time, and error text.
